If you’re going to improve in your sport of choice, you’ll need a good Instructor. I’ve made it my mission to work with golfers; To help become more focused and technically more proficient; To coach and help each person find their authentic swing. This, more than anything, is a direct reflection of my success as a Golf Instructor.
A BIT ABOUT ME
Mike McKain, USGTF
I have been an avid golfer since my teen years. My first introduction to competition was playing 4th man in college for the Geneseo Knights golf team. For 33 years I taught high school science and bought a driving range (Red Oak) after retiring.
In 1998 I became a certified golf instructor under the auspices of the USGTF (United States Golf Teacher Federation) located in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Since then, hundreds of golf students have enjoyed and learned from my thoughtful instruction at Red Oak Golf Range.
While I have a keen eye for swing mechanics, I do rely on V1 and Sky Pro apps to help the student visualize his/her swing, Determination of swing speed and tempo via launch monitors is recorded and taken into account, also. And I am a big proponent of on course instruction, playing along, sometimes just observing.
I enjoy teaching.
